The main agenda for moving a notion of review and amendment of the National Arts Act.No.23 of 1984 and other laws governing the arts and cultural sector should be compliance with the international and regional conventions to uphold traditional human rights like gender equality etc, and specific artists' human rights protected in the principle of Artistic Freedom such as The right to create without censorship or intimidation, The right to have artistic work supported, distributed, and remunerated, The right to freedom of movement, The right to freedom of association, The right to protection of social and economic rights and the right to participate in cultural life. The demonstration for upholding the mentioned rights should be crafted to complement practical experience from stakeholders' deliberations as challenges and ways forward within the arts and cultural sector.
